I was born and raised in Atchison, Kansas, and I am so glad to be able to raise a family in the Atchison community. My wife, Katie, and I were blessed with three amazing children, Aiden, Jack, and Blair, who have either gone through or are currently enrolled in the Atchison Public School system. Atchison has always been a part of our family, and we are proud that we can call this place home.
I am very excited about entering my 20th year in education and being able to make a difference in the students and families of Atchison. I started my experience in education by earning my Bachelors of Elementary Education from Kansas State University (GO Cats!), Masters of Education from Baker University, and Masters of School Leadership from Benedictine College. During my time in education, I taught 5th grade for a few years at Pleasant Ridge and shortly after moved to Atchison Elementary, where I taught 4th grade for many years. I then became the Asst. Principal/AD at Atchison Middle School in 2012, and since 2015 I have been the Principal at Atchison Middle School.
It has been an honor and privilege to be a part of the USD 409 family pretty much my entire life, from student to teacher, to administration. I look forward to many more years serving the students and staff of Atchison Middle School and the Atchison community. Go Phoenix.
